• Welcome to the West Prairie Lutheran Church website! We are a community made up of folks from the Lennox, Canton, Worthing, and Tea areas! The church building is located just a short drive west of the Canton exit off of I29. If you are looking to worship the triune God, grow in your faith, find a place of belonging, quilt, sing, or have great conversation, this is your place!

• West Prairie Lutheran near Lennox, SD, and Bethany Lutheran in Hurley, SD are two congregations working together to effectively minister to their respective communities. They both fit into the larger church body of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and are part of the South Dakota Synod.

Confirmation Information:

If you are interested in the enrollment process, please contact Pastor Hanson (contact info above). The traditional confirmation process begins in mid-September with a registration deadline on the second Friday of September. A student will usually begin by 7th grade, however, we are also capable of making room for non-traditional students as well!

• The confirmation class will meet Wednesdays (6:30) at West Prairie starting on the third Wednesday of September and will run through Easter.

Volunteer Information:

• Worship service volunteer information is put together at the beginning of every year. If you would like to volunteer to be an usher, reader, host, or acolyte, please mention it the next time you come to worship! If you are looking for when you are up to serve, the links can be found and clicked on here:

• If you are looking to help out or address the needs in your community in any way, we can find a way to make that happen! At this time, we don’t have any ministry volunteer opportunities available. As needs arise, we will add them to this list!
