At West Prairie Lutheran, we partner with other organizations who share our mission and values in order to extend the reach of our ministry both locally and around the globe. These are a few of the ministries we support and partner with.
ELCA Wolrd hunger
Working with and through our congregations, in the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands Lutheran churches overseas and other partners, ELCA World Hunger is uniquely positioned to reach communities in need. From health clinics to microloans, water wells to animal husbandry, community meals to advocacy, your gifts to ELCA World Hunger make it possible for the ELCA to respond, supporting sustainable solutions that get at the root causes of hunger and poverty.
LAMA (Lennox area ministerial association)
The mission of the Lennox Area Ministerial Association is to promote fellowship among ministers in the area, to provide religious unity, and to provide charitable support to persons in need within Lennox and surrounding the community. Area ministers meet monthly to address the needs of the community and to support one another in prayer. Each year we host a community worship event around the 4th of July Celebrations.
Lutheran World relief
Affirming God’s love for all people, we work with Lutherans and partners around the world to end poverty, injustice and human suffering.
We work with local partners to provide lasting solutions to poverty.
Our staff and partners in the countries where we work know the local languages, traditions and customs necessary to provide appropriate solutions. And they have access to the knowledge and expertise of their colleagues in other countries around the world.
Lutheran Social services of south dakota
Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota responds to changing needs in South Dakota communities. Our mission: Inspired by God's love, we care for, support and strengthen individuals, families and communities. LSS touches the lives of South Dakotans 52,001 times each year with a variety of programs and services statewide. LSS is one of the largest private non-profit human service agencies in South Dakota. LSS serves people of all ages, faiths, races and economic status with professional, confidential and affordable services
